The cooperation between Erica Weiner jewelry and D.S. and Durga perfumery presents a new way to wear perfumes, modernizing the old Victorian trend of vinaigrette necklace pendants. Victorian vinaigrettes were perforated medallions with aromatic smell of salt or vinegar inside. Ladies were able to smell the contents of their jewelry in order to disguise unpleasant odors of 18th and 19th century town streets. Perhaps the oldest and most common type of vinaigrette was a piece of cloth soaked in aromatic liquid.
