"Irupé is the vulgar name of Victoria cruziana, a giant nymphaea that thrives in the waters of South America, particularly the Paraguay and Parana rivers, where its huge rounded leaves float gracefully with water. Irupè is a floral, woody and muscled marine vocation, which empties its center in the most sensual flower of the perfumer, the tuberose. Like the majestic Victoria cruziana, it seems to lean on a lump of salt water, which frees it - consenting - from any excess carnal, washing away everything that disturbs a perfect moment. The notes of tuberous and refined gardenia are made acidic and less penetrating than the fresh melon, while in a colorful game the carnation spreads its peppercorn on the whole. Transparent waves enhance the freshness of laurel and mint. Francesca Dell'Oro gives us a summer reminder of sea, salt, known and loved plants, which blends and confuses with the fragrances of the gardens that reach to the shore. Sun-warmed skin is driven by an icy shiver: cardamom in the jus is colder than ever, and the pungent aroma of pink berries amplifies the frosty breath.
